The Nvidia driver installer (basically, that’s an application :p)Ĥ. Teamspeak (proprietary and ugly but very important)ģ. XQF (I don’t like it, but it’s the only choice)Ģ. Most comes with a default installation of Fedora/GNOME, with a few exceptions:ġ. TheBat (also licensed, but the fact that I’m not even sure I’d still be able to find my key reminds me of how much I loathe proprietary software) jEdit or some other windows-only text editor which was pretty neat but I discovered it too late to use it a lot and now I forgot the name)Ĩ. mirc/teamspeak/all seeing eye (aka “gaming tools”)ħ. This is quite some while ago, so maybe some of these are obsolete now.Ĥ.

Here are some more apps that I usually need to install under BeOS. You can see screenshots and more info about these apps on BeBits or BeZip.īeOS 5 hasn’t been updated for quite a long time and so the OS itself doesn’t come with a lot of stuff resulting in the need to download more third party applications in order to get a more complete experience. I don’t use BeOS much anymore (maybe one or two reboots per month), but here is my list. Photoshop Elements or GraphicConverter or MacGimp Media Pack (MacAMP Lite, VLC, MPlayer, Micorosft Media Player)ĩ.
